Møn Maskinbyg changes its name to K7 Machinery

Press Release

A new name and a new address – part of something bigger. In 2020, Møn Maskinbyg became part of the K7 Group, which consists of Kjærgaard A/S, SR Pack, and Møn Maskinbyg. Together, we are more than 250 skilled technicians and engineering professionals based in Skive, Løsning, Odense, and Ringsted.

We are now taking another step in our development by changing our name and moving to new premises in Ringsted. Here, K7 Machinery will share the location with Kjærgaard A/S’s new department on Zealand. This means that K7 Machinery and Kjærgaard A/S will be united under one large technology and automation hub. We aim to present ourselves as one strong, unified entity, and the name change to K7 Machinery is part of that process.

“We are deliberately aiming to present ourselves as one unified entity, where we share a common understanding of key values such as professionalism, collegiality, and customer focus,” says Per Smedegaard, owner of K7 Group.

A Strengthened Leadership Team

The name change does not alter the company’s core mission, which continues to be the development, design, manufacturing, and installation of technically advanced machinery for processing and handling components within the food, medical, and packaging industries. However, the leadership team is being expanded with individuals who have many years of experience in automation, collectively strengthening K7 Machinery.

Bo Renneberg Hansen is Division Director. He has 35 years of experience in sales, concept development, technical solutions, project management, and automation project coordination. Over the past four years, Bo has focused on developing innovative solutions for the food industry as Director of Innovation & Automation at Danish Crown.

Knud Gammeljord Hansen is Director, Mechanical Design. With 33 years of experience – 21 of which have been with Møn Maskinbyg – Knud has specialized in designing technical solutions and custom machines for plastic and metal packaging, particularly for the bakery industry. He has developed, designed, and manufactured specialized solutions for the processing and handling of bread and cakes, making him highly experienced in the bakery sector.

Martin Abel is Senior Manager, Technical Design. Since 2007, he has worked with manual lifting equipment at EGA-Teknik, where he later became co-owner. He specialized in customer-specific, innovative design solutions across a wide range of industries, with a strong recent focus on automated systems.

Fredrik Yde Klitgaard Agerbo is Manager. He has many years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry, with deep knowledge of the sector’s requirements for project management, quality assurance, and validation processes. Most recently, Fredrik worked as a Portfolio Manager at Syntegon, focusing on production oversight, efficiency strategies, project management, and validation.
